Do you have a secret you’re tired of keeping,
a story you want to release?
Maybe about adoption, shame, family connections, trauma—or really, anything?
I started this site when my memoir about being a birth mother was announced. Almost no one in my life knew that story from my past before I announced the book, and I was prepared to feel shame and to want to hide myself once others knew this tender truth about my past.

But something different happened.
I started to receive emails and messages from people wanting to tell me their stories. Usually, these were secret stories, ones that had been told to few people, and in some cases, to no one.
Stories about learning one’s father was not really one’s father.
About crisis pregnancies.
About regrets and unreconciled choices from the past.
I realized many of us need a place to speak our truths. Sometimes we want others to hear us. And sometimes we just need to get the story out.
You can write or speak your story here.
- —No judgement.
- —No one to contradict your story.
- —No need for defenses.
- —You can stay anonymous.

You will have four options on how your story will be received.
You can choose:
- aTo have no one read or listen to it.
- bTo have me alone read or listen to it.
- cTo have me read or listen to it and then give me permission to speak, post, or write about your story, keeping you anonymous.
- dTo have me read or listen to it and give me permission to speak, post, or write about your story, identifying you — and of course, letting you know in advance that I will do so. I will always verify with you before going public.

There’s something healing in saying our truths. And sometimes, the healing comes with letting others receive it.
If you’re ready, let’s go:
